Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Ecuador Q3 2024: Performance Insights

In the third quarter of 2024, the navigation and maps app market in Ecuador saw notable activity across the top five apps on the unified platform, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a fluctuating download trend, starting at 7.5K in early July and peaking at 16.2K in the week of August 5 before gradually declining to 6.6K by the end of September. Its weekly active users started at 213K, increased to a peak of 235K in early August, and ended the quarter at 206K.

Google Maps Go maintained a steady download rate, beginning at 7K and reaching up to 9.2K mid-August before tapering off to 6.3K by late September. The app's active user base remained relatively stable, starting at 468K and closing the quarter at 460K, with minor fluctuations throughout.

Radarbot Speed Camera Detector saw its downloads peak at 7.4K in late July, followed by a steep decline to 2.3K by the end of September. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 10.7K in late July and ending the quarter at 6.4K. Revenue showed slight variations, peaking at approximately $537 in late August.

Google Earth experienced stable downloads, mostly ranging between 2.5K to 3.1K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users started at 21.8K, increased to 23.8K by mid-September, and concluded at 21.2K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer saw a notable increase in downloads in mid-July, peaking at 3.8K, before dropping to 2.2K by the end of September. Active users also increased in mid-July, peaking at 3.6K, and ended the quarter at 3K.
